PR & Events Executive

Office: London

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PR and Events Executive to join our creative and busy Marketing team in our London office. The ideal candidate will have PR, Social Media and Event management experience, and will want to further their career within marketing and be looking for opportunities to enhance their skill set and knowledge.

This role will include running the UK press office and Leading the PR function at Scott Dunn. Assisting with social media and brand advertising, while taking ownership of the UK PR and Events. This will include liaising with PR agencies and other suppliers and attending events. The role will also involve assisting with Scott Dunn’s charitable donations.

Responsibilities

UK Public Relations

  • Co-ordinate and manage Scott Dunn’s PR activity in conjunction with Scott Dunn’s PR agency: press requests for information and content
  • Co-ordinate and manage UK press trips – co-ordinate, ensure smooth running, that we get as much out of them as possible.
  • Be responsible for the management of the press trip budget
  • Organise and run all PR events – to include researching venues, managing invitations and guest lists, controlling all logistics, sourcing and managing subcontractors and generally ensuring their smooth and successful running.
  • Develop ideas, draft and review press releases
  • Develop relationships with relevant journalists and bloggers
  • Assist with PR strategy – coming up with new stories and angles in line with the LTG Product and Marketing Strategies
  • Co-ordinate and submit entries for travel awards, monitoring voting deadlines
  • Attend industry events when required.
  • Assist Asia and USA PR functions when required.
  • Collate the PR board pack every month.

Events

  • Take ownership for organising all Scott Dunn events, both corporate/trade and guest-facing (in particular those for our VIP segment, Scott Dunn Private). To include researching venues, managing invitations and guest lists, controlling all logistics, sourcing and managing subcontractors and generally ensuring their smooth and successful running.
  • Manage the events budget Social Media
  • Assist with UK social media across all channels (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), responding to engagement as necessary
  • Make recommendations for growing the social media audience within the right target.
  • Engage with guests, media and influencers via social media
