Product Manager – Africa (9 month – Temp to Perm)
You’re seriously well-travelled in Africa, creative and commercially experienced and have been succeeding in your current product / sales role for a few years now. You’re now looking to bring your extensive tour operator experience into one of the travel industry’s most established and highly regarded global luxury brands.
Scott Dunn and Imagine Travel are looking for a passionate, experienced and hardworking Product Manager to join LTG’s (Scott Dunn and Imagine Travel) dedicated tailormade Product Team in our London office, to cover some of our most exciting markets in Africa.
Reporting into you will be a small team of Product Supports and/or Product Executives who will assist you in developing our forward thinking and innovative product portfolio for the region. You will ideally have knowledge of both luxury travel as well as experiential tailor-made travel so that you can cater to both Scott Dunn and Imagine Travel.
The right candidate will think outside of the box, be results driven, very well organised, efficient and will possess a strong self-motivated attitude. The role will require excellent communication skills as you will be working alongside several different teams, including Sales and Marketing. A big part of the role will be building on your existing relationships and developing news relationships with suppliers. You will create and run training sessions for the sales and the product team, as well as crafting innovative fam trips with the help of your direct reports.
The right candidate will seek out new opportunities for growth and will want to drive forward new product development for both brands, bringing on the best in new hotel openings and regions across Africa. You will have a very good grasp of contracts, ground handlers and will have the ability and drive to negotiate well with all your suppliers. You’ll also be the face for product in the region for LTG and will therefore spend time with journalists. You’ll be planning press trips for some of the nation’s best travel magazines.

This position is full time and will be based in our head office, which is in Putney, London.
- At least 4 years’ experience of working within a tour operator ideally within Product or Sales
- A passion and knowledge of tailormade travel in Africa
- A serious interest in management and career development
- Excellent commercial, contracting and negotiation skills
- Exceptional writing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation skills and time management
- Self-motivated and results orientated
- Specific and in-depth destination expertise within Africa
