After graduating from a Business Management degree at Plymouth University in 2012, I began working as a Maître d’ in a hotel in Courchevel where I first learned to ski. This gave me a passion for living and working overseas – so I joined Scott Dunn in the following summer as a Villa Host in Portugal. I have since been lucky enough to work 5 more Scott Dunn seasons as Villa/Chalet Concierge and Villa/Chalet Manager across Europe – before deciding to pursue a career in the UK with the company.
I am now part of the UK HR team, where my role is based around the smooth running and organisation of the London office in Putney; whilst also assisting with UK HR and recruitment.
- Winter – St Anton (Austria), Courchevel & Val d’Isere (France)
- Summer – Faro (Portugal) & Pollenca (Mallorca – twice)
- If you’re heading out for a winter/summer season, make sure you take the chance to fully experience the local culture by trying new foods and learning the local language (even if that’s just ordering a sandwich and coffee!). The locals appreciate it and it’s the perfect chance to immerse yourself.
- When writing a cover letter, make sure you do your research and tailor the letter around the position and company that you are applying for.
