FAQ (season jobs)

Completing a season is an opportunity of a lifetime and whether you choose to spend it in the snowy Alps or the sunny Mediterranean we know there are always a lot of questions people want to ask. Based on our own experience and the feedback from our overseas teams (many of whom come back year after year) we have put together some of the most popular queries to help you decide if a season is for you.

When can I apply for the winter season?

Our main recruitment for the winter season is from May until November. However, we are always interested in receiving applications during the winter season (November – April) as we sometimes have positions become available mid-season.

When can I apply for the summer season?

Our main recruitment for the summer season is from January until May. However we are always interested in receiving applications during the summer months (March to November) as we sometimes have positions become available mid-season.

Can I still apply if I can’t start the season until later?

Yes you can. We do sometimes require staff to come and join us later in the season. In order to join our reserve list you would need to have been interviewed by us.

I only have a UK working visa, can I still apply?

Unfortunately we can only accept applications from holders of UK/EU passports or anyone with dual nationality. Additionally, we require you to have a UK National Insurance number and bank account. If you are in doubt then please contact us. Please note that we are unable to sponsor work visas.

Will I need a work permit?

Certain destinations will require staff to have a work permit. Everything will be dealt with by us and there is therefore no need for you to apply for one yourself.

What happens after I have sent my application?

If we feel you have the experience we are looking for then we will contact you to invite you in for an interview in our office in London or Chichester. Please note, due to the high volume of interest in these exciting opportunities, only successful candidates will be contacted.

Will I need to have a criminal background check?

All nannies will have an enhanced criminal disclosure carried out on them and we will do this on your behalf. You will be asked to provide a certain number of original identification documents at your interview.

How long is the season?

For our winter season, our teams will need to be available from mid November until the end of April/early May. Managers will need to be available from mid October until early May.

Our summer seasons vary greatly in length and start date. Our Explorers clubs can start from March and run until November and our villas are open from May until September.

Will I be able to come home during the season?

Unfortunately we cannot allow any of the team to come home during the season. We are of course sympathetic in an emergency and will treat such cases on an individual basis.

Can I request to go to a particular resort?

Whilst we try and accommodate requests to the best of our abilities, it can never be guaranteed. We always carefully place everyone taking into consideration resort preferences but we also look at where your strengths lie and where they will be maximised.

Where will I be living?

All of our accommodation is situated off-site away from the chalet, villa or Explorers club. You will normally have to share with one other person. Our accommodation is equipped with a living area and kitchen and we will install internet wherever we are able, if it is not readily available.
